“If you’re expecting a great bargain, you’ll have it…The rooms are spacious and very clean! We asked for a coffee pot in our room and were given one when we checked in. The owners were friendly and helpful. Opened some windows, turned on the fan (hot day), pulled out our cheese and wine – wonderful evening after a long drive. The breakfast will be packaged donuts and muffins made fresh in the morning – and coffee. Internet was very easy to access. We’re here for one more night and very pleased with the accommodations. As I said, it’s not the Hilton, but it is outstanding considering the price!”
“For the price–$65 at the height of the tourist season–I have to give the motel an Excellent…Sheila, the manager, is friendly and goes out of the way to assist. Bottom line: it’s a clean, friendly, fairly priced, conveniently located motel in a rather isolated part of Oregon.”
“I got a little bit distracted on my way to Seattle and got surprised by the snow. I needed to stay one night in this lovely motel. The room was cozy, clean and the bed comfortable. The owners were really friendly, caring and made me feel safe, since I was travelling alone. The free breakfast was great and the coffee as well gave me a perfect start in the day. I would definitely come back. Thank you!” – Sabrina S.
“Had a great stay at Whispering Pines. Its location is fantastic if you want to explore the Crater Lake area and the owner has tons of maps and resources for you that she really went the extra mile to get, so definitely check that out. I just took them for the night and took a bunch of pictures of all the maps I needed for the next day. Breakfast and the market were well stocked especially considering the middle of nowhere location. The room I was in had fantastic old school pine wood paneling and was very clean and cozy. The manager and staff were super friendly and we chatted for a long time both times I saw them. I highly recommend this place to anybody going hiking in the Crater Lake area.”
“Sheila provided a clean spacious room with the most comfortable bed on our 10-day trip. She provided a coffee maker and blow dryer. Glad I stayed there…Yes, it is an old motel…But as a new owner, Sheila made her choice to make sure the bed, bedding and towels met our needs. We had chairs and a table for sitting outside our room. You could also park right outside your door. She is also trying to beautify her area with flowers and more trees. Thanks, Sheila for providing a large clean room.”
“We stayed one night waiting for the keys to our new house and we had 4 kids with us. We got a family room with 3 full beds and a futon. Nice to have that available. There was Wi-Fi and cable channels. They also have a huge variety of VHS movies they loan to you at no cost to watch in your room. Beds were comfortable. In a pinch, the little store was awesome. The owners are very sweet and helpful. In this area, I would totally go here again and I have already referred my Mom who comes to visit occasionally. If the weather had been better the kiddos could have played outside on the playground”. – Elishia C.
